Smile New member questions on luggage

So I just bought my 2009 650 versys, moving from a C-50 Suzuki Boulevard (Cruiser) which had saddlebags, highwaybars etc. I was wondering if it is possible to have an engine guard/highway pegs for the Versys? Also without spending the ridiculous amount of money it costs to buy the hard side cases, are there cheaper options for side cases?

there are a lot of soft bags for sale, you can get some from the for sale section here sometimes people have them. My givi e21's were only a couple hundred bucks. and I have SW-Motech engine bars on my V from Twistedthrottle.com, I really like them. Good luck!

I came from a C50 back in spring of 2010. Oh boy have I had a good time since then!!

I suggest the topcase for hauling your stuff, and makes a great backrest for an occasional passenger.

In case you are curious, it is a GIVI V46NT Topcase on a SW Motech Rack and Givi Adapter.

I like to my V narrow without the bags making her have wide hips.

Shad still has their SideBag special going on - two hard side cases, plus mounting bracket. $399.

I can fit a lot of groceries in them, or store my helmet in one during the day, etc.

there are a few threads on here about them if you are interested.
