ZOMG the wife said "Yes"

Well finally after 11 years the wife finally relented and let me get a new bike.

After learning the ropes in my pre-married younger days on the old GPZ250R (spacey tri-spoked wheels) I had a soft spot for Kwaka Twins. After a fair bit of research and money gathering i have managed to get a Candy Apple Green Versys, (only color available here in Australia) although its a October 97 version it was still brand spanking new and the price was too good to resist.

Just Briefly can i say many thanks to all the forum members for their posts here it really assisted me in my purchase and i must say im loving it,
(although the 4k rpm limit for the first 800kms is driving me insane.)

Currently the only Mods i have done to it are a Radguard (radiator protector)
tank pad, Vario Screen with Diffuser, and Kawasaki rear box mount. waiting for more cash to get an assortment of other gear to finish it off.

Cheers again guys.

I know all about the spousal unit and the trouble they can cause when the purchase of a motorcycle is brought up, but I did it anyway...I am a big boy (old guy) and I can have whatever toys I want. Sounds good anyway!

Welcome and hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine!

hb9400...your avatar is of you FIRST Versys!

Steve

I bought a motorcycle because my wife said that I couldn't! Now I have two and she still says I can't have another one!

Smile

Congratulations....

I try to always tell my wife I have 2 wives.
She (human one) will always be the One and Only First and my bike the 2nd.
If I am missing, she (1st One) always knows where to find me.
(If I am not riding, 90% of the time in my home workshop)

Congratulations again and Ride Safe.

Best Regards.
