Welcome Saltie. I as well recently purchased my Versys and I am absolutely stoked about it, gonna make my first ride of any length (other than running around town) tomorrow and I can't wait. That's pretty awesome to see that you made the transition to motorcycle riding at 51, most folks pick it up earlier, but better late than never. Enjoy your new scoot.

Welcome! Haven't had mine for more than two months but coming off a ninja 250 I just think its awesome. I'm 5' 7" 150 lbs. and the 2010 model fits me just perfect! Better than my gloves. Ha! Yeah I'm on my tip toes a bit but so far doesn't bother me a bit. I'm used to it already. No worries mate! Say hello to Tom carrol, occy, pottz ,Luke, Munga , and all those rippars out there.

G'day saltie from over east. I have a Lams as well although I have been riding on and off for almost 40 years. I left mine restricted for about 5 months and then removed the restrictors it's easy to do and you can also easily put it back to Lams when you want to sell it. Just ask if you ever want to do it. Meantime enjoy the ride you have a great bike.

Hi Saltie,

I'm another surfer/late start biker. It's a dynamically good bike, abd it's comfy to ride (for the most part) but construction is done to meet the budget price so if you are near the ocean keep the WD40 on all those cheap little bolts and screws that really don't like the salt air.
