Welcome! a piece of rubber folded over on itself jammed in the crack between the tach is rumored to be a cheap fix for the rattle. Congrats on the bike! Pics?

Welcome! I moved from a Ninja 250 to a Versys too. And I live with the rattle.

after a few rides i have figured that the rattle it never bothered me all that much i just figured it may loosen something, but after some reserch i found that it caused no problems. i never go slow enough to hear it any way.

Thank you all for the reply. i will be posting my own threads soon hopefully they will be helpfull to every one. but in the mean time can any one recomend some brush guards/ hand guards for an 08 Versys? i primarly want them to protect my levers in case of a crash (its not if you are going to crash, its when) i would also like cover my hands from the elements, they often get very cold due to a accidentaly amputated finger tip (long story).

i would appreciate any help on the subject.

Totally off topic, but I'm curious about your handle...DayWalkerOfTville...

I work with kids, some of whom have wonderful imaginations. I happen to have some pretty long and pointy incisors. At least half of my kids wonder if I'm a vampire. I told one 9 year old a great story about how my great great grandfather was a vampire from Transylvania. I had him for a moment, but then he realized I was pulling his chain. Later on though, he said to another kid, "Did you know Mr. B is a Day Walker?" It made him feel safe knowing that I was a "good" vampire and that I could protect them from any bad monsters that might be out during the day...

It's nice to know there are other Day Walkers out there protecting the innocent.

Buy some double sided foam tape, used for insulation of door seals, and apply it to the tab on the black dash piece (top of tab where it contacts other plastic).
