Touring on versys.

Hello, Im Rudi and I live in London UK.

This summer me and a friend are touring the UK roughly 2000miles in 2 weeks I've never done any touring before so wasnt sure which bike to go for but after searching around I decided the KLE650 was the one, seems like a good all rounder and just a few mods make it a half decent tourer, so after a few days of searching a 2007 model popped up for sale at a fair price, it came with a ton of extras bolted to it aswell and best of all it was just a few miles from me so I could pick it up the very same day.

Here is a photo:

Its the ABS model and it very tidy for a 07 with 24k on the clock, I've heard a lot of complaints about the seat, but let me tell you after spending the last 2 years on a supermoto, sitting on a versys is like sitting on a throne!

When I get some spare time Im going to give it a good clean and full service(thanks for the service manual), but right now I've got to go to work but I'll check back on this post later.

Rudi.

Very cool! When you get a chance, let us know which windshield is on it, and if you like it or not. Thanks.

Its the first bike with a windscreen ive ever had, im not entirely sure what it is as it came with the bike, it has a sticker on it that says 'powerbronze', it appears to be fully adjustable and on its highest setting, ive not really got anything to compare it too but I do notice some buffeting(?) feel like its knocking my helmet around a bit.

Ill have a go at adjusting it later to see if it gets any better.

Welcome to the forum.

I, too, came from a supermoto and the seat is one of my favorite things about the Versys.
