Yet another Brit in France!

I'm a 51 year old Scot living just outside in Annecy in the French alps. A born again biker almost two years ago. ...i've just swapped my Z750S for a new 2007 Versys. I seem to have a thing about buying bikes in the depths of winter! Only managed 60kms running in so far (how sad is that?!). Like the bike already though, even if it's a bit tall.

Thanks for the welcome and the tips. The Speedy stuff looks really good. Managed a longer run today though mostly in cold fog! The pic above was in a sunny bit by a dam on the river Rhone.

Welcome Aravis, from another middle aged Scot abroad, though the southern hemisphere in my case.
Versys is a great wee bike and and extremely customisable to suit a wide range of tastes, from near light sport bike through light weight tourer to near dual purpose. Guess that's why the Kawa folk dreamt up the model name....

Cheers

Welcome from a Scot now living on the West Coast of the USA.

There are a number of options if you find the V a tad tall.

Speedy has an excellent lowering kit http://motowerk.com/LoweringKit.aspx he's a Versys owner living in San Diego, but ships world wide.

You can also get a lower seat from Kawasaki, http://www.kawasaki.com/kawasakinew/...CategoryID=162

Not sure what they cost in France, but a bit spendy wherever you are.

Many on the forum have modified their own seats with electric carving knife, some new foam and a stapler.

Enjoy your new toy.
