Good afternoon,
I recently bought a ‘14 Versys 650 after riding a friend’s at Deals Gap. Bike question: I didn’t realize this wasn’t factory when I bought the bike. Can anyone help me figure out what it is? External fuel pump? See attached pics. Thanks
I cant believe they have a vapor canister on a 5.5 gallon fuel tank. That is INSANE>I thought that was what is was. I Replaced a bunch on our Chevy farm trucks as they dont like dusty roads, Ended up running a snorkel tube up under the hood with a filter on them as they just ran a short hose under the truck to a vent by the filler cap ,But I never would have dreamed they would put one on a M/C.
I remember very well that unit. It came as a question some time back. Its actually DOE requirement in some USA states. But many of the answer was real entertaining as some member made fun...like "that's my lipstick case" was one of my favorite thread.:wink2:
Another question... been searching the forum and haven’t come across an answer yet. I’m wanting to hard wire a garmin zumo to the aux cluster left of the tank under the fairing. I don’t see a relay, but since I bought the bike used, I’m not sure what’s been added to it. I was hoping you guys could save me some time and let me know which wire to tie into. Pics from side, above, and traced white with blue trace back to 5 A fuse under seat.
I just used the DRL (daytime running lights) wires, so it's OFF when the ignition is OFF.
