Hello from Southern Colorado

Another old guy (68) downsizing. Been reading reviews and shopping the x300. Sounds great! Already downsized my RT street bike to a Ninja powered 09 Vulcan en500c Ltd. Quick, fun 500 that blows past 1500cc cruisers and 883 Harleys. If Kawi did as good a job with the little Ninja Versys as they did with my Ninja Vulcan, I'll be thrilled. Loving the featherweight class. Already used to the revs. My Vulcan redlines at 11k.

Moto funnies "Treating 3wheeleritis"

3wheeleritis is a tragic but treatable condition. Well, you can go there I guess, but just try to get frisky and scrape a peg in your favorite twisty. Better yet, buy a smaller, lighter and possibly quicker and funner ride that won't leave a bunch of busted and plastic and metal trike parts strewn all over the road every time you lean 'er over a bit to far. Heck, no lean, no ride the way I see it. And you won't be such a litterbug.

And just a heads up, (True Story) An old riding buddy of mine lost a leg below the knee and had to start riding with a side hack. Well, the bottom line is he refused to go in and get the dang prosthesis adjusted and he'd loose the thing on the road and everybody had to be swerving and diving around his stupid plastic leg laying in the middle of the lane. Then somebody would have to turn around and go back and fetch his leg for him. So a word to the wise, when your riding with plastic parts attached, think of the guy behind you and use an extra layer of duct tape, safety wire or something to keep the dang thing on. Oh well all in good fun I guess. Happy trails!

Welcome from Texas

I've taken several trips to Southern Colorado from the Dallas / Ft. Worth area - I love riding up there.

Welcome aboard! I'm assuming you are in the Canon City area. That makes me jealous. You have a TON of paved and gravel roads that you can get lost on!
