Question Howdy From Australia - Versys 650 2012 Rider

Howdy All,

Joined to chat and get advice from other riders.

Specifically - I took my bike in for a service and after advising me that they replaced the rear master cylinder to fix the back break issue it sadly did not.

They are now saying it is the ABS pump module and want to charge $1750 new.

I have looked everywhere for this part secondhand as it is way to expensive new - The part is specifically for 2012-2014 Versys 650 ABS.

The sad part is i can find the 2015 model and that is $99

Does anyone have any advice if there are are brands that would fit this or have they experienced the same problem.

Kind Regards

Grant

In addition to my post before:

I was getting compression in the back brake - basically it wouldn't move, you had to push down and it would very slowly go down

Is there any way you can disengage the ABS.

I have 09 versys and no ABS but have seen ABS cut off switch in most bikes. so see of you can disengage the ABS.
On the same did they service you back brake and are the pistons moving freely.
