Greetings from the Netherlands

Hello there!

My name is Roland from the south of Holland and I just became the proud owner of a 2008 Versys 650 in Candy Burnt Orange
Spend some time today looking over the bike and there's quite a few things I want done and some that need be done before I go enjoy myself some corners. The bike is in pretty good condition but it has its usage marks which I'll adres in due time.
For now I just need to give it some service to make sure it runs smoothly and fix that annoying tweet from the exhaust because it's ruining the driving experience. Luckily I've got some time to do so because my final exam for my motorcycle drivers license isn't until next week and then I need to wait a week or two for the government to print a new card before I'm allowed to drive.

~Cheers

I think you'll find that your Versys is actually an '07. Pretty much identical to the '08 except for colour.

I've indeed noticed that Orange isn't shown on most websites when choosing model year '08, the registration date is the 12th of januari so indeed the build year is '07. I'll go ahead and just pick '07 when looking for parts just to be certain.
Thanks for the tip =]

'07s came in BLACK or ORANGE, and the "Versys" sticker (silver on your side fairing) is below the KAWASAKI one on that fairing for the '08 and '09 V650s.

Cool, they both look nice.

Alright, final exam passed! Next Wednesday I'll get the new drivers license card so I can drive. That means this Saturday it's time for an oil change, valve adjustment, new sparks and air filter, and tighten the chain. Then she'll be ready to go.
Very excited 😄
