I have been reading on line every night going between the Wee and the V. Got a great deal on this leftover, so I went with the V.
The wife and I sat on both but didn't have the opportunity to take one for a ride(dang winter!!!)
I think this will fit my need well, as I plan to commute to work and back(82 mi. round trip) on 4 lane hwy and some twisties .
Hope I get good gas mileage out of this as much as I hope to have fun on the way to/ from work.
I have heated jacket liner and gloves, so as soon as I can I will be taking this as soon as I can safely travel, due to the salt and ash they put on these roads.

Welcome, from south central PA. We could use some more Vs in this area.
You've made a good choice for a commuter bike.
I bought my 09 about a year ago and have been happily commuting on it since.

Welcome. I am in the Philadlephia area.

PA riders should ad themselves to the Versys google map to make it easier to plan any rides.

if you guys dont mind gettin her dirty, i have some nice gpx tracks for the pine barrens... mostly its pretty easy on the versys, especially if you've ridden offroad before.

also, we take a trip up near bear mtn around april/may every year, so if yall wanna join up on that, just keep a lookout for it

Thanks all,
I am a little north of Pittsburgh.
I am hoping to pick this up on the 23rd.
The dealer is Motor Vation in Mechanicsburg.
I would like to meet up with you all for a ride.
BAMF, your ride sounds like fun.
I will keep an eye out for info.

That sounds awesome. When/where will that be posted? I'm in Colorado right now but I'm coming back to Philly (where I grew up) right around that time. Sounds like it would be a great time.

I'm buying my 2011 Versys from Motor Vation in Mechanicksburg.
Looks like you are very close to there.
I hope to pick it up in by the end of the month.

I'll keep my eye out for the trip. Don't have any offroad experience (outside of mountain biking) but I should have some practice by then.

I am close to there. I have a friend that used to work there (maybe still does). My inlaws are in Pittsburgh so I get out that way about once a month. Hope the weather warms up a little for you. That's a long ride in below freezing temperatures. Don't ask me how I know haha.

I have a heated jacket liner and gloves.
How is the wind protection?
Hopefully they will be enough or I may haul it back.
Depends on the weather.
if you get over this way, let me know, we can meet and eat somewhere.
