New user from Europe

Hello everybody,
I'm new to this forum looking for information's about Versys . Now I own an old Suzuki VX800 and decided to buy a new present for my birthday this year - so I bought from another country, from a Kawasaki dealer, a 2010 Versys with ABS ( 6800 km on the clock ) some weeks ago and waiting to bring it home ( hope this week ).
Here are some pictures with it.
I'm so excited to ride it and looking forward to learn from everyone's experiences with this bike.

Thank you all for "welcome" .
Yesterday the bike left to his new home. Only 1650km far away but today evening or latest tomorrow morning hope we will meet finally.
If you have any recommendations for this model regarding maintenance, what to check before going to trips or even for performance improvements please share with me. The dealer from which I buy it and also the transporter told me that the revision was made before to leave from them.

Here it come first impressions after first 100 km :
It drives well, higher position than previous bike, spongy rear break, 4 l/100 km (58 mpg calculated at gas station with 2 fill ups), harder seat - but of course you all know this.
I discover something strange: when I drive at low speed(30-50 km /h lower than 5000 RPM ) I find that the engine is working somehow interrupted, not smooth, continuous. If I accelerate or If I pull a little the clutch and keep same rpm it runs good. I don't think is a normal way of working for this bike. I change gears as in manual.
Could you be so kind and advise me what to check ?

Thank you .

Welcome! Not sure why it isn't running smoothly at that RPM, but it's not normal I have a 2014 with over 32K miles and it doesn't have that problem. I'm sure others will have good suggestions on how to diagnose and fix. Good luck!

Not many VX800's left out there - I had a '90 several years ago. "Unique" motorcycle

Start changing gears at whatever speed within reason that just feels right.

I change up around 3,000 in normal around town riding.

Thank you again for feedback.
@Oldandslow : yes, VX is a "unique" special bike ( my first one ) and is still on my "garage" . I wish to keep it as long as I can. I'll put some picture with it.
@fasteddiecopeman : I tried to change gears as in manual but usually I do it as I feel is good. I'm not a high rpm fan neither a low and after I discover this I tried to change as in manual with no improvements.

I was digging into the forum and on the internet and found these :
Modifications - Performance - V-650 > Booster Plug, yes! (BP collective findings)

and
on youtube : Boosterplug. Fitted & 1st Impressions. Versys 650 by Andy Man Cam

I couldn't explained very well what I felt but these are the words:
" I can't do 25km/h at 2nd gear smoothly. it does do that ON OFF thing where it injects fuel, then not and then injects fuel" - first link
"The too lean air/fuel mixture on the standard bike will make idle and low speed running weak, and the throttle action will be horribly on/off like." - comment on youtube

I just copied many posts related to your issue, one really key problem is the TPS setting, I had the same problem on my 07, however this was a non oxygen sensor made for Canada bike. Very early posts by Invader had a photo of the TPS tweaking it slightly like moving it 0.015 of a inch, just loosening or tightening the torx screw can affect it. I recommend using a 2 decimal place digital meter and the wire harness from Kawasaki
