Reintroducing Myself

as I was a bit exasperated trying to meet my two post quota last time. I'm an f800st owner whose girlfriend just moved up to a '12 versys from a '79 gs550e.
she's 5'-6" with a 31" inseam so I'm hoping the lowering kit (speedy's) will be enough for her to feel comfortable. May have to dig out some seat foam too, will see. (similar sized riders opinions welcome).

gross weather past few days, hope to pick the bike up beginning of March.

glad to be here.

My wife rides my versys and she is 5'6 and it has been lowered by one inch as she handles it okay so with speedys it will lower by 2 inchs so your girlfriend should find that a lot better for her.

thanks, her biggest concern was backing into parking spots and digging her heels in when backing up on our gravel driveway.

I think she can get over asking for my assistance on public roads and I can push the bike around for her when its in the driveway

Our gravel drive is 650 metres long and she has to go up and down a small rise while turning and versys does great, she is not allowed to take the ninja 1000 up drive as it does move around a bit on drive.

that is one beautiful driveway, ours is much shorter, and nowhere near as pretty (why we have the bikes to begin with).

is she able to back it up easily enough?

When we first moved there 3 years ago i had to ride her Suzuki C50 up and down the sterp corner bit but she is fine now and even after she started to ride the versys she takes it up and down the drive by herself.
