Hi I'm a new member and live in Oregon. Been riding for 30+ years and still love to ride like I was teenager. My current stable is a 2009 Versys and a 2007 Triumph Bonneville.

Currently looking for a new windshield for Versys because I like to ride year round and a little wind protection would be nice.. Also going to buy a engine guard probably a SW Motech..

Cheers and Safe Riding

aboard. I have the SW Motech crashbars on my 2011, and have been very happy with them. In combination with my handguards they've prevented a good deal of damage in a few knock downs while parked.

My bike is a California model and I have heard that you have to dremel some plastic away to get the SW Motech to fit.

from San Antonio, Texas. What part of Oregon? I went to undergraduate school at Pacific University in Forest Grove, west of Portland. Nice little school, at least way back when.

About windshields, there are a good number available and a good number of opinions regarding which is "best." A lot depends on your height. I'm 5' 10" and like the Givi 405. It's not perfect but it does offer better protection and does a much nicer job of reducing helmet buffeting than the stock screen.

If you search the forum for windshields you should fine a bunch of posts. Hopefully they'll help you make an informed choice.

Good luck and safe riding.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new addition.
I use the Givi for a Winter shield.
