Newbie

Hello, new to this forum and versys 650GT 2018.
Absolutely love this bike and am looking forward to a long and happy partnership.
Iíve been riding a GPZ 750turbo for the past 29yrs and have decided to seller her for my new versys 650, which was only registered in November last year and has only got 950miles on the clock.
Needed to find a bike that is easier on my body to ride and handle and itís been a real wrench letting go of the turbo but this is the first bike Iíve found that I fit comfortably on and looks lovely.
A little bit about me Iím Ex- forces ( army, REME vehicle mechanic), im an active member of the AFB (armed forces bikers ) charity and still have a gpz turbo in my stable and im an admin member of the 750turbo.com forum.
Ive just hit my 50ís and live in south Devon.

Thanks for serving! (I was 3PPCLI for three years, RCAF for seven, and managed to operate w/ RAF 13 Sqn during an exercise in 'Old Blighty'.)

Thanks for your welcome, went out for my first ride the other night and loved the ride apart from the really annoying juddering when trying to maintain a constant speed around 30mph.
Having read that itís best to keep in a lower gear but keep the revs up will fix that.

I bought a rear paddock stand but canít use it because the rear mudguard is to long so might cut that down a little.

Iíve also bought a centre stand which I hope will fit with out to much problems.

Even though this bike is half the power than what Iím used to itís still a lovely bike to ride. Might upgrade the exhaust to a Delkevic.i

Be safe be lucky.
