Newby - considering used 2010 650

Hi, this looks like a great forum.

I'm in the Uk and considering a used 2010 (new shape) Versys.

There are a few things I'm not sure about on the bike i looked at.

It has a 180/55 rear tyre fitted.

It also has no passenger grab handles as it has a Renntec tubular steel rack fitted. This is fine but I might want to fit a Givi Monorack for a topbox and I'm not sure if that would be possible as some parts may be missing.

I really like thee Versys, at the moment it's my favourite but there's an R1150GS I also like the look of.

This is a great site but do you know about the UK Versys site? Might be worth a look seeing as you are in the UK.

That's an oversized rear tyre. Stock Versys comes with 160/60. I would think handling would be affected by the bigger tyre, as well as ride height since the 180 is being forced to curve more to fit on the rim.

Welcome, would do some research on what has been done to that bike as a oversized tyre would make make me nervous.
