Very Kool, would you look up the torque specs for front sprocket and rear tire locking bolt. Currently working on my bike putting new rubber on and 16 tooth front sprocket. I think it's the same as the old one 92ft lbs for sprocket and around 80ft lbs for Wheel shaft (rear axle nut).

Welcome From Canada

I would not put a 16T on the 2015 unless you have had your ECU reflashed. I had a 2007 Versys with the 16T, the 2015 below 4000 RPM sucks, after the reflash it is now superior to my old 2007. I also updated the Welcome post with info.

Just wondering: I didn't have a Gen 1 or 2 before I got my 2016; how does the power delivery compare to ECU flashed Gen 3?

The ECU flash made a stunning difference to the power delivery of my 2016 and I have the 16 tooth sprocket as well. It feels as it has more power everywhere in the greatly expanded power band.

I test rode it feel no different in current gen, except first and 2nd gear is usable now. Over all more smooth like a right tourer. 8000 -1000rpm is correct feeling. I have 170/60 17 rear tire too. I have 10 more hp engine mod soo not much different from stock.

Before the flash on my 2015, I somewhat regretted getting the 2015, as power in the below 4000 RPM sucked, compared to my old 07 that had a 16T sprocket installed by me. Considering I had no trouble pulling away in second gear with a passenger on the 07 with the 16T, it was a no brainer to leave the 15T on the 2015. Now that I have the new flash, I am considering going to the 16T, although I have ridden a Versys for so many years, 500 RPM lower really is meaningless . I sold my 16T sprocket and prefer just to ride, so with the new PR-5 on front and back I will wait and see.

Just put new clutch plates in and adjusted the clutch cable. I can tell you totally happy with the 16T, I ride a lot of highway and found 15/46 really sucks in the tight twisties where 35-40mph 2nd gear, very jerky on the mid range power delivery. When spring season takes off, will let ya know my final thoughts on 16/46 set up. 16T front do skip 0-4mph starts to read from 5mph and with 170/60 17 rear the bike is less than 1% off real speed.
