Hello from Boston UK

Hello all, I am based in Boston. I have had a life long interest in bikes, now a grumpy old man I still cannot seem to grow out of the habit.

Hello. I'm from 80 miles west of Boston in New England. (We don't grow out of that habit over here, either. )

I'm also technically a Bostonian. I was born just north of the other Boston (the New England one) in the town of Andover, which I believe was also named after the British town of the same name. Seems the early settlers of New England weren't very clever or original when naming their settlements. Small world, isn't it?

I was born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts 21 miles north of Boston.

Welcome from a newbie myself. Make that a wannabe!

Re: Hello from Boston UK

I actually come from Wilbraham, named for the villages (Great and Little) of the same name in Cambridgeshire. I went there once, stopped at the Green King for lunch and saw a collection of memorabilia from my town in the US on display behind the bar. When I said where I was from, I was an instant celebrity. For whatever that's worth.
