Hi Guys, I just added a Kawasaki Versys KLE 650 A9F to my little stable this week. It's a silver grey (maybe metallic Phantom Silver?) with 17,000 km on it. I have a much faster Suzuki bandit but as I age I find the speed less comfortable and the Versys seating position more appealing. I have a Corbin seat on it so hopefully that will make my riding more agreeable. I don't have any questions yet but once I start a bit of a restoration on the bike I'm sure they'll be coming thick and fast.
Happy New Year.
Canucklehead.

It's a 2009, the silver edition. I'm pretty happy with it so far.

I remember the '09s in blue, and green, and the '07s in orange, black, and silver....

WHICH part of BC are you in?

Pretty sure the 2009's in Canada were green and silver...when I bought mine, I took a silver one out for a test ride, and the red '08 on the floor was discounted and the silver '09 wasn't. I think the US had blue, though.

Dave
I bought MY '09 as a 'dealer-leftover' in Casa Grande, AZ, so the ONLY colors I saw were the green and blue.

Thanks for the correction.

Central Interior just south of Kamloops, some good riding round here.
Mine is definitely silver (Metallic Phantom Silver to be precise) and the date on the bike is 02/09. I think it is a Canadian model as there are no changes to the registration. I'm just tinkering with it for now, cleaning it up really. I'll be looking at the air-box and filter tomorrow. It's the first bike I've ever had without a carburetor.

Howdy neighbour, I'm in Chase and I have a pal in Falkland with a 14 650. We'll have to meet up during the upcoming season sometime.

I regularly ride thru your areas, up to the Douglas Ranch, and get an ice-cream at the "50s Diner" in Westwold.

Always some interesting cars lurking about there as well. So many great rides to good eating places around here. Sprokkets at the Motorcycle Museum is really good. From Westwold the Douglas Lake Ranch Rd to the Quilchena Hotel is a good ride too. The Pond on Barnhartvale Rd is worth a visit... and on and on! Is it Spring yet?!!

That would be great. I sometimes ride a circuit to Kamloops to Cache creek to Spences Bridge and back home, it's a good ride except when it's really hot then it's like riding in a cauldron. Sprockets is good and the Motorcycle museum is a great place to waste an hour or two. Somewhere round there they are doing a series on some guy who restores old cars so there are always old jalopies to see too.

Im in Van and I ride up in your area a lot, usually in spring and fall when the weathers iffy here and need some dry conditions. Though in the summer you can get more heat than you bargained for, like around Spences bridge and that area of the Fraser river canyon. Theres a nice ice cream shop in downtown Lytton that always beckons me on the way home!

I like riding the Chase-Falkland Rd out of Falkland. It crosses China Valley Rd a bit N, which is a PDG ride E, as long as you're OK w/ riding dirt roads, and you will pass the "Cattle Creek Cattle Company" near the W end.

On both sides of the gate they have 'displays', MOSTLY of skulls and horns, but also an old H-D[?] and a "cannon".

VERY neat place to ride.
