I`m riding my Versys all year and I also own 2 BMW`s. Like the Versys with the exception of the Steering Shake and the jerky throttle.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

On the shaking handle and jerky throttle, there is a lot of input in this site which can help you to overcome the setback.

Welcome to this great forum!

The cure for the jerky throttle (and much, much more) is discussed here:

This is where you get it:

I can't express how much this changes the character of the 2015-2016 Versys, it's phenomenal! Smooth power delivery everywhere!

Haven't experienced any steering shake so others will probably chime in soon.

Merry Christmas!

Welcome from AZ!

It's been swell, but the swelling has gone down.

If you are having steering shake, 95% sure you have a tire balance problem, or a improperly seated tire, if you have a front stand , put it on the stand and spin the tire, follow the tread pattern and rim, look for irregularities , I assume this is a new purchase from a dealer, I have had this happen, normally you would think a tire balance would cause a bouncing effect, I have had 2 occasions, one the installer didn't use enough lube and pressure to seat the tire, so the tire was out of round, the second was the tire balance was off center, needed to use stick on weights in the proper location.

I can second that about the Flash, give yourself about 2000 KM, then get the flash, it will be like a totally different bike, you need to experience it to believe the difference. I can now ride in 6th gear at 60 KM / HR @ roughly 2500 RPM and accelerate, without downshifting, something impossible to do with the OEM flash.
