Hello from Vermont!

Hey all,

I'm new(ish) to riding motorcycles, but I absolutely love it so far.
I bought my first bike (Versys X-300) right at the end of October '17, and have put a little over 7k miles on it so far.

I live in central Vermont, so we don't have a ton of riding season here, but it just makes those months that much better! My buddy and his father got me into riding last summer, I took the safety course through my state's DMV, and was instantly hooked. I bought my first motorcycle within a couple of weeks of getting my license, and hit the ground running.

My daily life includes working as an IT guy. Most days I'm in the office running the helpdesk.

It's great to be a part of the community, and I look forward to meeting folks!

Welcome from Moosehead Lake, Maine - not too very far from you in central VT.

Riding up there has to be fun. I lived in Maine for 16 years and some of those roads would be awesome to go back and cruise on my X.

Yes, some of the roads are awesome but in this part of the state there isn't an over abundance of paved roads - and I don't ride off road intentionally. Still the winding two lane state roads are fun to ride. Not much traffic and this year not too much wild life either - and those are good things.

Central VT has some great roads! I live on the western side of the Adirondack in NY and often ride over your way for the good roads. Eastern Adirondack's has a few nice twisty's like ensign pond road, tracey road, and Franklin county route 26 (more in the middle). They may be within a few hours of you.
