Just Japan bikes

Hello Kawasaki community, only a few days and I'm going to pick up my Versys X 300, which I'd like to be a graphite gray, but at the dealer the lime green appeared more likely as a Kawasaki, everybody knows that green, even those who are not familiar with bikes, so I decided to choose the original Kawa green. I must travel more than 290 kilometers back home, mostly on highways, under 4000rpm, so I'll be conspicuous, dude with a Kawi travelling at 60km/h...

Welcome. There are many comments and opinions in the X300 forums already on the very limited running in rev limit. I suggest that you read them.
My suggestion - vary your rpm and throttle up to 6,000 rpm. Try not to hold a steady rpm/speed for an extended period. Avoid using full throttle and most of all - avoid lugging the motor.

Yeah, thanks for the advices, I've spent a lot of time reading comments, suggestions, proper break-in procedures. My opinion is that the mix of babying, and hard break-in prucedures should be the most effective way. Fitting the rings properly with high revving already was a common method for the '80 two strokes. Well yes, this is the 21st century, high precision cuttings, honing, fittings, etc., but on the other hand I tend to believe that those fittings, rough micron surfaces must be babying for the first few million revs. I fully take these advices; no red zone, no full throttle, no steady revs, but staying under 4000 rpm for 1600kms, that is rubbish talk. Anyway, (any road, any time) I will babying my Kawababy at all times...

Here's a link to the way I broke-in all THREE of my V650s [on the ride home from the dealer - say 50 miles], then I changed the oil.

Break In Secrets--How To Break In New Motorcycle and Car Engines For More Power

So far (MANY miles later...) never had a problem w/ ANY of their engines!

Yes, I'm really glad to hear that, I'll follow those recommendations, that's what I planning to do.
