I am curious about the 250 cc limit. Is that limitation for all motorcycles there or for just your situation.
Welcome to the forum
so the motorcycle engine limitations in Iran is a crazy story. we used to be free to ride all sizes of bikes but almost 20 years ago, a political assassination took place and the assassins used 1000cc bikes to escape away. since then the government put a cap on engine sizes and now we are limited to 250cc, max 2 cylinder bikes. still, you can purchase any kind of bike you like but you can't ride it with a number plate and it is illegal to ride it on the streets, you'll be given a permit to ride it on weekends on certain racing tracks... I know it is crazy and stupid.
but this regulation is applied to Iranians only so if you are a tourist riding your bike through Iran you won't have a problem. you just need your carnet du passage and documents and you'll be good to tour in Iran as a lot of other foreigners have done motorcycle tours in Iran. search for Lois Pryce, she rode through Iran on a solo motorcycle trip.
I am an Israeli and I welcome you here on this forum! Ride safe!
Hi! thank you very much! as I explained to Dave, the politics and messages from Iranian politicians don't represent people's opinion about other countries so I really appreciate you welcoming me here! best wishes.
Well said my friend.
Welcome and Asalamo Alaykom Iranian friend. Ride safe

edit.... I just looked it up on the net. lookin' good. tell us about it
Hi, Well Kawasaki offers two version of Versys-X , 300cc Version for Europe and North America and 250cc Version for Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran and other parts of Asia and (I think) Brazil and South America. essentially only the engine is different everything else is the same. we also get a different color that I think is not offered in U.S
this is the color offered here in Iran (and the color of my Versys)
