Back on a Versys

Hello all,

After many years away, I am back in the Versys stable. I'm a 47 YO guy from the beautiful Green Mountain State of Vermont. I previously owned a 2009 650 model but just last weekend brought home a new 2018 650LT in black. So far I am really enjoying many of the refinements over the previous generation. I'm looking forward to some good adventures this summer both in and out of state. I also enjoy a Yamaha WR250R for venturing off into the backwoods.
This continues to be a great site for the Versys community and the sharing of knowledge.

Enjoy!

Dave

aboard! and back!

As you've probably noticed - your Gen 3 does NOT have the low rpm pull that your Gen 1 had, but it has many OTHER improvements!

Never been to Vermont but it looks like it would be a nice place to ride.

welcome back!

I too went back to Versys after several other bikes. In 2010 I had a versys 2008 and then in 2015 I bought a (then) new Versys 2015. Best bike Ive ever had.

I agree with you Eddie. The Gen 1 certainly had a lot of grunt. The Gen 3 impresses me with its smoothness so far.

Cheers.

Jim,

It certainly is. Lots of twisty roads and elevation changes. Many of which are very scenic with low amounts of traffic.

Vaulter,

That is good to hear. I'm hoping that my new LT will be "the one" for several years to come.
