Newbie from Seattle

Good day all! Just picked up a 2017 650 LT in the titanium color. I’m impressed on the pep and agility of this 650! I just downsized from a 1200cc bike and feel like I lost very little from the riding experience; if not gained in some areas!

Welcome aboard from San Antonio, Texas. I'll wager what you lost most was weight. I've reached the age where lighter bikes are more enjoyable and easier to handle. Enjoy!

Welcome!

If you decide to come east of the mountains let us know; there are a number of us in the Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho area.

The bike is much lighter and more nimble. Adding the pep makes it fun to ride!

Thanks much! If I have any trips heading over that way I will certainly let you know! I hope this summer to get up north and the scenic highway crossing over the Cascades to the Eastside

Great trip, watch for the nuts. Go east of Winthrop on Hwy 20 over to Tiger/Ione. Great roads, great scenery, little traffic.

It is nice! I am getting a SHAD SH-48 topcase as the OEM side bags cannot fit my laptop... I’ve had good experience with SHAD cases in the past...

Oh yeah... I debadged this Versys for the cleaner look... probably a controversial choice, but one I am happy with my choice...

I have the Kawasaki OEM 49 L top case. Love it. Complements the bike very nicely. You can see the mount I have in the picture.

I was looking at the OEM topcase but all the necessary parts to have the top case put it above my desired price point.

Yep, pricey but flows nicely with the bike. I am very happy with the results and would do the same on my future bikes.
