Me a newbie too

Hi All,
I am currently riding a late '09 TMax but will be trading in for a Versys 1000 this 18th Oct. I have been riding since mid '70s started off with my dad's Honda CB 350 twin back then. Before the TMax I was riding a Gen 1 Busa for 3 yrs and the bike was a blast but it was difficult to carry stuffs with it. Then I got a 400cc Silver Wing but found that its cruising speed was not to my liking.
Then recently I went for a short trip up north, (250 kms one way) to visit my parents and found that my TMax could do only about 150-160 km/h max.
Following that my regular bike shop owner recommended me the Versys. Price was the main factor but the bike's specs and performances is nothing to scoff at either. After doing some reading I decided to join in the bandwagon and thats how I got here. Cheers guys, I hope to be able to learn and share our riding experiences here in this forum.

Thanks Guys!!!
Its a drop in top speed but anyway I could only reach a max of 260 during my ride, the wind blast and momentum was much too strong for me. Only those young riders hit it up all the way. Me in my mid 50's can only take so much and by the looks of it, this bike should fit me fine, with enough power, technology and mainly seating comfort for me and my wifey.

The Versys is a real comfortable bike and high speed of the bigger bikes is overated and like you I can only stand so much of it, the V is great for carving up the twisties.
