New owner from Norway, Oslo area.
I just got a blue 2008 with 78000 km on it. It has a LeoVinchy and a tall screen. Otherwise stock. Bike look a bit shabby up close, but rides great. I also got it very cheap so I am very happy
I had worn tires so I just had to get some new ones quick. Metzler M5.
They seem fine so far, very grippy in the dry and the bike has a nice solid feel to it. Haven't tried in wet weather, yet.
I also got a '96 TDM850 wich I will sell soon. Pretty simmilar bike, but the TDM feels more solid and better quality than the Versys.
Versys is a lot ligher, more nimble, faster and more fun. Also have a lot better wind protection (no buffeting!). Engine is a lot stronger down low, but has lots more vibration and noise. Mirrors really suck.
It has a pretty special windscreen. The one in the picture with the stock screen bolted to the variable part. Works very good so far.
I like to do my own service and mechanical work as I think it is interesting, and also because the prices for these kind of services in Norway is crazy high.
I have some posts on the carpe-tdm forum, using the nick "JanA"
