Jus Lookin

Going shopping on Saturday for wife to get back on a bike after a few years off one. Pretty keen on the Versys 300 lots of folks we know speaking really highly of them.
She will need a lowering kit. - Any experience with these?
Cheers

Welcome Whangaparaoa Fred.
There is plenty to read in the Versys 300 section. Lowering links are available - even adjustable length ones.
There are only a couple of consistent complaints about the bike. The bloody uncomfortable seat (after an hour or two) and that the gearing is low for a bike for the highway.

The engine is a pearl - straight out of the Ninja 300 and needs 3,000 to 5,000 rpm to come clean. It just loves to rev and is very vibration free with an upright sitting position.

It is light on the bars, and nimble - and feels much lighter than its 172kg to lift off the side stand and push around the garage.

Nobody has yet uncovered ANY manufacturing blunder and all owners seem very happy with their choice. Barry's Point Road tomorrow?

My wife just picked one up and loves it. Lowered it for her, I will look and see what links I used.

Out of curiosity, why not a used Ninja 300? Those can be had for dirt cheap.

Why did you buy a Versys 650 and not a Ninja 650?

It's a better highway commuter. If she's looking to get back into riding, will this be a keeper or a short term trade in?
