Intellectually, I'd love the OEMs to offer ABS here in the states on more models. However, in reality, it's not economically viable. People say they want ABS, then they buy the model w/o ABS to add exhaust, luggage, windscreen, GPS and on and on. I think they buy more ABS in Europe because they get a substantial insurance discount and the option pays for itself over time.
I'm cheap. Give me regular brakes and I'll add high-friction pads and good tires when the stockers wear out. That should be fine for me.
