Hello from Longmont Colorado

I have been lurking here on the board for a little over a year and thought it was about time that I introduce myself and start posting.

I have had a 2011 V for a little over a year and have been thoroughly enjoying it. Short commute to work when the weather is good and riding up in the mountains every chance I get.

Theres a bunch of us here from CO. We got together last year for a group ride. Quite a fun crowd. We have not connected again. However, we are still out there.

Hello from an ex-Denverite. I never rode a bike when I lived there, but I bet the mountains are gorgeous from a V.

If it wasn't for the Welsh and the Scottish bringing the average down, this wouldn't be "Great Britain"; it would be "Bloody Amazing Britain".

Absolutely beautiful. Last fall when the leaves were changing, it was incredible. I find that I actually get up into the mountains now much more that I have the V to take me there.

Boricua
Glad to know that there are others out there. I haven't seen another V since I got mine and started riding again.

Hi!

I'm in Denver, but ride quite a bit of dirt. So, if you see a dirty Ninja 650R with a US and Colorado flag flying off the back, that's me.

Longmont Co eh. Great town, been there for work a couple of times, and you only have the Rockies right there for riding, what is it estes nation park? That's rough. I Drove in a cage once, was wishing I had my Versys.

Enjoy

I can't even tell you how much I enjoy living so close the the mountains and such a close ride. Rocky Mountain National Park is about 30 min away. Last Friday I had a short day at work, was in the mountains in 20 min and Rode up there for about 4 hours before I came back down. Love having the V to take me there.

It is Rocky Mountain National Park. The town at the east entrance of the park is Estes Park. Trail Ridge Road goes across the park. It is highest continuos paved road in north america. Awesome scenery. Would be an incredible ride if not for the traffic. The road gets packed in summer with tourists. Except when I want a slow scenic ride I avoid it. A really good two hour ride from Longmont is highway 36 to Lions then CO 7 (St Vrain Canyon) up to Estes Park and then back out via CO 36. St. Vrain is an outstading ride.

If you wanted to see more V's on the road last year we did a group ride to Cripple Creek. There were 6 of us. When we got there we found 3 more parked. We all lined up in the same spot.

I spotted various in my rides around the state, There are more out there than you think. We are just severely outnumbered by the harleys and the metric cruisers.
