Welcome aboard. Beginner's tips? Here are a few, in no particular order.
1.When you stop, remember to put at least one foot down.
2. Don't do anything abrupt in a corner such as snap the throttle closed or brake rapidly - it upsets balance and bad things can happen very quickly.
3.Despite what many riders say about having to "lay the bike down" don't do that if you can help it. Why give up even a semblance of control to become a helpless passenger?
4. Ride as if you're completely invisible and wear gear that will protect your fragile body in the event you do fall off or hit hard objects. Broken bones and road rash are VERY painful, and death is even worse (although I don't know about that last bit just yet).
5. Most importantly ride safely, enjoy the journey, and have a good time.
