Hi from Tassie

I have recently upgraded to an Orange 2009 Versys after 3 or 4 years on a 96 XR400, and a 2002 DR650. I've had my bike licence for over 20 years, but I didn't buy my first bike until just before I turned 40, so I am a relative novice.

I am very happy with the Versys so far, it feels like an easy, forgiving and fun bike to ride.

Should be fun on twisty Tassie roads! Not as much fun on the dirt as the DR650

Seems to me like Oz has a fair number of Versys owners. Enjoy and, as others have said, be safe. Then again, you could always ride fast and take risks, as my 86 year old aunt says!

Welcome. I toured Tassie in a truck in 2010 for work. Blah...All I could think about was how tops it would be to do it properly. On the V!
All the very best.
