07 12k Misfire

Hi all

Have read many posts but cant seem to find my problem.

The misfire starts at about 3k revs and gets bad at just below 5k. At about 6k the rev counter and speedo dies completely and intermittently recovers but not well.

This has been consistently getting worse over 5k miles.

I have changed the plugs cleaned the air filter. The bike is in very good condition with no rust and has not seen many wet roads.

I was thinking maybe crank pos sensor or old battery but its being charged at 14.5v

The coils look good with no cracks.

I really dont want to go to a dealer in France as its tooooo pricey

HELP

PROBLEM SOLVED

Many thanks to Invader for support. People like him 'make' a forum.

I ran the engine and went around the bike moving wires and connections until the symptom revealed its self.

There was a loose connection at the back of the fuse box which vibrated at 4.8k revs

Great forum
