Steel Braided Brake Lines
Question: Do steel braided brakes lines really help with brakes on the Versys non-ABS because I did an advanced braking course with HoppRider training and this bike can stop very well from 50mph (about 10-15 meters). Admittedly with a hint of front wheel sliding at the end

To me the difference was imperceptible. But they look cool.

I installed SS lines on my previous ride. At the very limit when you are applying max pressure to the lever non SS hoses can expand slightly more. In the real world with the larger than normal brake dive on the Versys (due to the long travel front suspension) I would be surprised if anyone could actually feel or notice a difference. They do look nicer on the bike though and tend to last much longer than the rubber hoses which can degrade over time. If it was me I would replace the rubber hoses with SS lines (they only cost slightly more than the OEM lines) when it is time to replace them but it would be wasted money to rip out perfectly good brake lines just to install SS lines for a marginal improvement.
