2008 versys

Hello to everyone. I currently ride a Vulcan mean streak and am looking at getting an 08 versus for my wife and as a commuter for myself. I have found the Vulcan forums very helpful so I thought I would dive in here for some knowledge and advice. Bike has 11k owner says it has been serviced every 3k miles. He has soft saddle bags along with the kawi rear hard bag, grip guards and mirrors extensions. Does the hard kawi storage come with a new bike or is that an add on? Asking 4789.00 was thinking of offering 4500. What do you all think? Also my wife is on tippy toes to get both feet on ground. Do they sell after market low profile seats? I will be searching forum allot all ready found good threads on MPG... thanks

thanks...

Looks like I am a bit off. 3500 seems like a good price to pay. That blue 2009 in Michigan looks very sweet like the blue color. Thanks so much for replies. Will keep you all informed on purchase. I hate bargining! lol. So what price would be your final offer all advice welcome. :-) will check back in later today last few weekends to get some skiing in!

Somewhere close to $4,000 would be about all I would do.

for comparison here is a 2009 in Charlotte NC for $3750 .00

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/2889377994.html

2009 > 11,000 miles (I ride it every day)
Michelin dual compound tires, saddle bags and cover.
Excellently maintained- Amsoil synthetic oil and filter just replaced
This really is a do it all well bike; it's incredible in really tight mountain curves
The power still amazes me and it's "flickable" due to its light weight and state of the art suspension
Price is firm: serious buyers only please

This article descibes it in detail

thanks fellas... I told him 3500 with the intention of going up to 4k. He told me that was an insult and the lowest he would go was 4650. So I am out of luck. He seemed pretty offended. Oh well. I will keep looking....if I can find one in idaho, washington, montana or oregon I will drive out to go get it.....My friend had a bike shipped via e-bay once and it worked out good......not sure if I am up for that though. I am determined so will keep up the search!! :-) thanks again for keeping me real

re your wife's tip-toes look for a "Speedy Lowering Kit" http://www.kawasakiversys.com/forums...ad.php?t=15033

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.

Suggest having a look at the Givi or SW Motech engine bars. They will pay for themselves the first time the bike gets tipped over on it's side.
