Throw it out of an aeroplane. Terminal velocity should be about 120........ish.

Good luck exploring the infinite abyss

You might try the Z1000 engine swap mod. I am quite sure you will pass 110 MPH.

All jokes aside, if you want to go faster you probably on the wrong bike, i got a ninja 1000 which i have had upto 250kph or 155 mph and it still has a bit left and there are plenty of bikes out there to get you up to 150 mph plus. The Versys strength is its flickabilty and power lower down in those twisties, you could purchase a after market exhaust to add a few mph and i dont have one but presume you could buy a power commander and get more power out of her.

You're not doing it right.....

Seriously though, my larger givi screen cut a few mph off my top end versus the stock screen. No longer use the givi.

Excellent point!! I see from your photo you are setting up high. Which I love about the V's but small or no windshield, helmet on gas tank. As low as you can go! And highest octane at the pump.

Why? Where can you ride it legally at that speed? Oh, never mind - legality is for the weak of heart and mind. I forgot that.

The sequel goes something like this: Laws are for others, not me. And anyway, I'm not hurting anyone else, so there.

Sure you can get more power out of it, potentially a lot more power. However it usually comes down to how much time and money do you have to put into it. Keep in mind also that it will tend to dramatically change the character and possibly the reliability of the bike. Just swapping cams and ECU from a Ninja 650 will give you more power, but it will be much higher up on the RPM and have less torque in the mid-range.

A large Tank Bag can only be mounted on the Versys without relying on the magnets is via nylon straps. Most common tank bags have one way or another unable to fully utilize the magnetic points. The plastic fairings gets in the way. Givi has a couple of products for Enduro bikes that would fit the V but they are not large tank bags. A tail bag would be a better choice for carrying more load but if you are 2-Up, then you may have to get a tank bag that can fit straps to it. Can't recommend any particular model. I can only highlight the mounting problem.

I have this tank bag from Ogio: http://www.amazon.com/Ogio-Stealth-Super-Mini-Tanker/dp/B00485HCYA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1331181001&sr=8-6
It stays on my 2011 just fine. The magnets sit in little velcro pockets but have a good amount of wiggle room, allowing the side magnets to get close enough to the bag itself to stick to the tank. It's not the biggest tank bag around, but to keep my documents, keys wallet etc ezpass etc handy it works a treat. Has a great pocket for sunglasses and my ezpass works without issues when in the topmost zippered pocket. All in all I've been very happy with it. One thing to not is that it does not appear to be waterproof.

Would suggest starting a new thread in future as this is a different subject.

As for tank bags I have found magnetic tank bags don't work well on the Versys nor do tank bags with a flat bottom. Suggest the ring mount type that has a bottom to fit the Versys highly sloped tank.

This is what I plan to buy after shopping around.
Eg. http://aviciouscycle.ca/mainpages/pr...x?productid=60

PS: I see you are in Halifax, I'm in Bedford.

If all you want is a higher top speed then simply change the gearing(ie. front or rear sprocket). If you're looking for more power then there are dozens of ways to boost engine performance.
