LA versys owner

Finally figured out why I couldnt post on the forums. Ha, so here I am with my intro. Bought my 08 versys from portland in sept. Rode it home to LA and fell in love immediately. I've but almost 8k miles on it in 5 months. Not too shabby. No car for me, versys only. Its perfect.

Finally started doing some updates to it. I immediately got some pirelli angels for it, and recently got ktm handguards, new mirrors, and an acerbis supermoto fender.

Upcoming plans are givi trekker boxes next, the s/s brake lines, and hopefully a new paint job, and I will hopefully be totally stoked.

Might I suggest crash bars and a Stebel horn? Drivers around here are horrible. Where in LA? SFV here.

be careful with those angels at the end of their life as mine perished down the centre real fast at the end. They handled real well but went down hill to fast for my taste at the end.

Oops, forgot to mention I've got some hepco and becker crash bars (which I havent seen anyone else have) that came on the bike when I got it.

I live in Echo park, basically downtown LA.

So I've heard. Mine have about 5000 miles on them. Starting to worry about the back one. I'll keep a close eye. Thinking about putting some actual sportbike tires on rather than sport touring this time. I do a lot of canyon riding and see my versys as more of a touring supermoto. They should last me till my next big trip (british columbia this summer) and give me a little more feel. This is my first non-sportbike, so I still kind of like to ride it like one when I get the chance.
