From Singapore - Getting my "New" Pre-owned Versys soon!

Hi guys...

I am from a little dot of an island call Singapore, right at the south of South East Asia.

Has been riding from RT, GTR and my most recent F800GS..but now having a new goal in life (starting in insurance advisory) , probably need to cut back cost on my hobbies...

Reckon that a Versys would still provide the equal amount of fun I would have with a german bike but with half the amount of price. I wasted no time to do the swop. I am presently waiting for the collection on a 2008 Versys from my dealer.

Came to know this forum thru google search and thought i could get useful info here and know fellow riders too...

I've just been back from Phuket early this year and will not attend the bike week there. Perhaps Koh Samui in the middle of the year. Will follow a biking tour arranged by the bike shop. Our last trip to Phuket, we had 72 bikes and 6 cars, and took 14 hours each way.

Yes 72 bikes were too many to manage. 2 lady bikers hit each other on a slow stretch, one sent to a hospital for burns from the exhaust pipe, the other journeyed on in the car with minor injuries. Later on in the journey, the heat took its toll on another biker, lost focused, couldn't make that turn and spun out. Rider is ok with minor injury to the shoulder, took the car ride after that, and the group's mechanic came out to ride that Aprilia Shiver. No incident on the way home, except for some floodings that may have closed the road, but was opened when we pass that area.

Brembo.

Riding a Versys in Singapore would normally be a rare sight.
I mostly see more of superbikes.

thanks for the welcome.

in fact versys is quite pop here. with the price and the running cost, its many of us budget riders' choice.

moreover although the local agent is kinda sucky...but we have a great kawa spareparts network in malaysia and thailand, with less waiting time and sometimes cheaper.

Brembo. Good to hear the V is popular in Singapore.

From Myred, http://www.uniquemotorsports.com.sg/...ed=Y&Itemid=82

Some good prices and choices. Went to Kaki Bukit last month and there is sure plenty of choices.
