New guy in AZ

Wow, why did it take me so long to find this site? I've had my Versys since June and I've put about 3500 miles on it. My progression of motorcycles went something like this- 05 Ducati 800 Supersport, 06 Honda VFR, 06 Wee Strom, 03 Aprilia Tuono, 02 Suzuki DR650 then finally my Versys.

I do a lot of commuting on my KLE, but I just returned from a 1,100 mile, 3-day trip to New Mexico. The bike was great, but the seat needs a little help.

As of 10-08, I've made the following changes; Givi V35 panniers w/ painted fill panels, Kaoko throttle lock, 16-tooth front cog, Givi wind screen and a custom mount for my Garmin Quest 2. Nothing really planned for the future beyond a new saddle.

I also fixed the horrible buzzing plastic that seems to be an issue on these bikes. PM me if you need help, it's easy.

Enough about me, here's a few glamour shots...

Ahhh, another AZ Versys Rider! Welcome.
Where abot you located? I'm in S. Scottsdale, near Tempe.
Let's plan some runs around the state, I practically live on that bike!

HI and welcome! I'm jealous of the long riding year you have in AZ., in Canada I'm just about ready to winterize my V for the 5 months of non-riding. Winter sucks!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome...

How do you like the V35's? I am waiting on delivery of my Versys but have contemplated going ahead and ordering the color matched luggage and having them install once the bike arrives.

Thanks guys.

Stinky- The V35's are great, and the shape complements the err... look of the bike.

Arnott- Winter does suck- I grew up in Michigan. But 100+ every day from May to Sept ain't a walk in the park either.

I'm down here in Tucson. I've seen at least one other Versys in SE Az, not sure who owns it.

If you're in town and you see a red Versys with red panniers and a Givi barn door screen, it's me.

Thanks for the info. I think I will go ahead and get the luggage. Your bike looks great!
