New 2011 Versys Owner

Hello All,

I am a new Versys owner. I just purchased a 2011 Kawasaki Versys, after much deliberation between that and a 2011 Suzuki Vstrom.

In the end, I and my friends believe the Versys was the better choice.

I am new to riding so I am still not out on an open road. But I am practicing pretty much every day that isn't raining or snowing.

Welcome to the forum and I believe you made the right choice. My last bike right before the Versys was a new 09 Wee-Strom which I never did really get to like as much as I thought I would.
The Versys for me is way more fun to ride. Way more miles on it in 8 months than a year with the V-strom.

in my opinion the versys is a great bike for learners or the most experinced rider as it is a eay and very forgiving bike especially if you make mistakes.

Congrats, and welcome to the community. The Versys is the easiest to ride street bike I have ever owned. The challenge is to not double the speed limit in the curves because it is so easy to ride.

Welcome!

While learning and mastering the V is one thing, do be on the lookout for crazy drivers whose selective vision does not include bikes. After getting near misses with them, you'll get the idea what I am saying. A powerful loud horn is a great tool to have.
