Hello! Anyone else in DelMarVa?

Greetings to all!

Really excited about joining. Now, where are those Algard windscreen brackets that come free with every new registration?

I'm riding the '09. Still breakin' 'er in.

Hi. Southern Delaware Here (2011 Versys / 3 mos). Took the Harley new rider course in Jul and have ridden a bit over 2000 miles. The bike was a perfect fit as first ride (height / weight / handling / response). I ride with Hi Vis vest over armored jacket and hi vis helmet (people seem to get hit a lot around here). I also use my H20 GPS on the bike as my adventure riding takes me to places that I don't know (not from this area, but live here now). The bike's been great and it's easy to service... especially with the stands. The people I know around here don't have bikes so it's all solo for me. I think that if I was going to change anything with the bike, I'd put aux power in the console and maybe do something with the seat. For under 3 hr rides... it's great, but over... the bike saddle sore starts in (like my mountain bike)... I'm probably sliding forward too much while riding and losing the rear support of the seat. All in all... a good ride. Everyone tried getting me to buy a "harley".... though I do like the Street Bob (bare bike)... it just feels too low and heavy (no to mention pricey).

I'm in! Just let me know when and where. I think there are other V riders in the Washington DC area who did not respond to the OP. They might show up for a meet-up though.

Ok cool..

Here is one suggestion.

We can meet up in DC on Saturday, the 29th. I know it is a short notice, but I am afraid it will get cold if we wait too long..

There is a Hard Rock cafe where I see bikes parked once in a while .. it is on 10th and E Street NW. We can have lunch there or go to another restaurant in that area..
