Colorado checking in...

Howdy!

My friends with their bikes (Buell/Ducati/Vstrom) made me jealous, so I went and bought a Versys

Here's a picture from Echo Lake (just before riding up to the top of Mt. Evans - in the background):

Not sure how much more riding I'll get in before cold weather hits, but it has been a blast so far!

Welcome. Just got back from the Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Telluride, Cortez loop. Could have stopped every mile for another jaw dropping picture. As a result, sore jaw no pictures.

Great info, thanks. My time availability for the next three months is going to suck, I'll be spending way too much time riding on airplane seats, so I might not be able to join anything until spring time...

In the mean time, I did find time to accompany my buell riding friend on a trip over Trail Ridge Road (via golden gate canyon) yesterday. We took the Fall River Road option, it was a blast! Gotta learn to remember my camera, here is a shot from the top from my cell phone.

Looks great! As a sometimes Colorado Springs resident, I highly recommend the Woodland Park to Deckers and beyond section of CO 67......after multiple runs up and down that stretch, I'm pretty sure it was designed for the Versys....incredible road!!!!!! The section that drops you down into Buffalo Creek....Well..I ain't got the words....a beautiful time of year about now to check it out...especially if you can thrash it on a weekday when the local constabulary is a little "less present" RIDE SAFE!

My mother in law lives in woodland park, I've been on that road lots... Last time I was on a motorcycle down there I ended up with a broken collarbone and bruised ribs these practice rides are gearing me up to ride that section of road again

Rode peak to peak and some of the canyons today with Pharaoh. Don't know where the rest of the gang was. Picture perfect weather Found a decent BBQ brewery place in Nederland. Their beer sampler is good anough for two people. Got a scare right at the beginning of the ride while running up Golden Gate Canyon but everything was fine.
