Salam from Indonesia .....

Hi all,

Glad to be here, I joined this forum to get information on the Versys, specifically on long-range journey with this bike, what can you do to prep the bike with, things to put my attention for doing long trip on this bike, what kind of tire I should use, etc etc

I don't own a Versys ..... but our local Kawi dealer gave us promising word that might lead to lending 5 units of Versys for our second stage journey across Indonesia. I am a member of Ring Of Fire Adventure Team <www.ringoffireadventure.com> and was involved in part of the first stage last June-July, covering about 6000 km from Kupang to Jakarta. Second stage would roughly be 7000-8000 kms covering Sulawesi and Maluku. We rode 4 KLX-250SF and 1 KLX-250S on the first stage and thank God we finished the stage in good condition, both men and machines.

I would welcome all inputs and suggestions here since we have to soon decide whether to go with Kawasaki or to go with other brand (LOL) if anything should prove to be difficult gearing up the bike to start second-stage next November.
Thanks again ........
