Cool Riding in Colorado

Good evening ya'll. I moved to the Denver area over the winter and am looking to ride with other Versys and sport/adventure touring people. I have an 08 Versys that I put 10k on in the last year. I bought the virtually new 2-year-old bike last summer after a deer totaled my 07 V-Strom in Texas Hill Country last summer.

Love the Versys! Much quicker turn-in than the V-Strom, still get about 50 mpg, and definitely stand well outside the norm among other bikes in the parking lot!

Hope to meet some other local riders and if you happen to be passing through and want to meet up for a ride, give me a shout!

Dan

Cool

DallasDon - sweet, send Machine 13 my way and we can try to ride

HolyKaw1 - your sun run is what made me get of my butt and start posting! I was wrapping up my vacation with the family this last weekend and missed your trip (that and I don't frequent the boards )

I'm trying to start up a Facebook Group so we can arrange rides there since many of us are on FB regularly anyway and I have an app so I know when some one is planning something!

Pharaoh,

I'm in Highlands Ranch and I know a lot of nice rides that are really close.

I came of a 2006 V-Strom too. The Versys is the perfect Colorado machine.

Send me a PM if interested.

I'm in Parker (SE of Denver metro). I have a few good rides to share. I do at least one multiday ride in early summer and many single day rides along the front range.

I have pictures of last year here: http://s780.photobucket.com/albums/y...view=slideshow

This year here: http://s780.photobucket.com/albums/y...view=slideshow

I'm in Colorado Springs right now and am suppose to meet my son (machine13) and his useless brother that is coming in from Kansas today and do some riding. It's kind of our annual event, but it looks like some pretty serious rain might interfere. We all have Versys but this is going to be the first time we have all ridden them together.

Updates to follow if the rain allows.

AHHH, this forum still will not let me post anywhere but here in the introductions

I seldom come on the forum because 1 it's not convenient and 2 IT DOESN"T LET ME DO ANYTHING!!!!!

Sorry I missed the front range ride last Saturday, looked good.

I saw one joined me on Facebook at Colorado Sport Touring...

any feedback from anyone else about moving our ride organizing to facebook?

Hey Pharoah,
I live in Boulder, and just picked up a 2009 Versys this weekend. I'd be up for some riding in the mountains outside of Denver/Boulder. Gimme a shout sometime when you want to ride and maybe I'll be able to join you.
