New here, traded in KLR

Hey guys, just got my Versys Saturday. Its an 08 with 3500 miles on it. So far i really like the ride, doesnt handle my gravel road near as good as the KLR but im working on that. Only other issue to deal with is my luggage options.

Hopefully i will continue to enjoy this bike as much as i did my KLR.

Hello Riddler! Welcome and I think you will enjoy your V. I hit the gravel roads once in a while on my smooth stock tires and do just fine. This bike will go just about anywhere. Good luck!

It will not do what the KLR will do off road but will smoke the KLR on the road and a few other bikes on tight/twisty roads.

Garage
It is not the KLR when it comes to off pavement riding, but it is a great all rounder. I used to say that if I could only own one of my bikes it would be the KLR. Now I believe it is the Versys. Aftermarket support for the venerable KLR is a lot better though.

Bye the way
I was born in Billings, but have lived in Nor Cal a long time.
Montana has some fantastic true dual sport high mountain riding.

I had a KLR and a Versys for about a year, but found I just wasn't riding the KLR as much and when I did, I wasn't enjoying it like I used to. Got over 30k on the V now and been over much of Western US and Canada on it-wouldn't trade it for any bike out there.
