FNG in Montana

Wanted to drop in and properly introduce myself as the proud new owner of a 2011 V. Just picked it up yesterday afternoon and was able to run around showing it off and racked up about 30 miles.

I have been without a bike since selling my HD Softail Deuce 7 years ago...had an XL883 prior to that. I had a Yamaha Super Tenere on order since September of last year and finally broke down yesterday and grabbed the only Versys on my local dealer's floor. I was very skeptical about the decision I was about to make on Monday...especially since I am still in love with the Tenere...especially after riding one. But...when I test rode the V late Monday afternoon it was an easy decision for me to make the phone call Tuesday morning after sleeping on it.

My name is Bob and this is one FUN scoot!!

Looking forward to earning my spurs as an inmate

P.S. Already gonna order a Sunstar 44T to squeeze a little more fun out of this beauty...if that is possible?

Welcome and congrats on the new Versys. What part of Montana are you from? I spent many years in Dillon prior to moving to Oregon, plan on doing some riding there this summer.

Welcome Montana! I lived in Great Falls when I was a kid-4th street just a block from the pond at Gibson park. Moved to Ennis where I graduated from High School- looking to head back there this summer for a 30 year reunion. (ouch...still can't wrap my mind around that one) Anyway, that area is great for riding.
