Hello from SV-land

I'm considering a Versys to supplement or replace my 02 SV650 for touring and camping. It all depends how this Wingrack project works out... and of course whether there's a CA model for 09

I'm calm like a bomb!

I use my Versys for touring and camping. I find the Versys is perfect for this purpose. I went to West Virginia this summer touring and camping. Great on the highways, awesome in the curves and handles the rough roads and off roads very well. Hope California gets the bike in 09 - it's a very good multi-purpose bike. You can make it into what you want.

I had a 1999 mod for years and loved it, did allot of preformance mods to it more for the track than touring. Now that I have the Versys I am having a blast with it, it does not go as fast but it does all the other things that the SV did but with less work and can be more comfy with some mods to the seat. Over all I dont miss the SV.
