Thumbs up Just picked up a 2012 Versys

Hello Everyone, just picked up a used 2012 Versys with 7500 miles on it...got a great deal on it. Though I have been riding various bikes at work for a while, this is actually my first personally owned motorcycle. I'm super excited!

I gave it a good once over before purchasing it and noticed a few minor things that I was unsure about. I figured this forum would help me figure things out in a hurry due to all the experience here.

I have attached two photos regarding electrical connections I am unsure about. The original owner may have messed with a few things, so I'm trying to figure out what is going on.

The first photo is a set of connectors that is located behind the front right fork. Looks like they may be for some sort of quick connection, but I'm not sure if they are standard or thrown on by the original owner.

The second photo is what appears to be a relay. It is just dangling by the wires underneath the instrument cluster. I'm assuming that it just needs to be ziptied out of the way, but I am curious what it is for? The wires are orange and brown/yellow.

Thanks so much! Once again, excited to be a new Versys owner and participate on this forum!

Welcome aboard. Regarding the relay - does your bike have an after-market horn?

Thanks guys. No aftermarket horn that I can find. I need to hunt down a wiring/electrical layout for the 2011+ Versys. That should help.

Welcome to the forum.

Pic #1 looks like the accessory plug. It is on the left side on my bike tho. Not sure about Pic #2
