Cool, nice to meet you. I'm planning on traveling through SE Asia this winter (unfortunately, the X300 will have to stay home

seen some awesome motorcycle vids of folks in SE Asia doing all sorts of things with small bikes.

some HD types are decent motorcyclists: not all are posers or hooligans. Check out this Gopro I shot of these Harley riding gals ( the music is decent at least):

I could be wrong but the first part looked like I-90, between Post Falls and Coeur d' Alene. Second part, somewhere in Eastern Washington? We used to ride from CDA to the wineries in Walla Walla (smelling the sweet Walla Walla onions as we rode), then down along the Columbia (many more wineries).

Good times!

Spot on, brother. hwy 231 in eastern Washington for the farm road, nice ride. My SO is on the Ultra Classic in the lead most of the time; really good at setting up rides/finding good twistys. Done the wino run to Walla Walla a lot, ton of back roads out that way.

To each his own is a very reasonable attitude in my mind. I've owned, or ridden, Harleys over the years and some have been quite reasonable. Now I'm a bit too "mature" to handle that sort of weight comfortably. Still, there are a few new models that seem pretty appealing - if I was younger and stronger.

When my daughter was very young, she used to call Harleys "Hardly Furgesons." Couldn't help but laugh at her interpretation. But then, she called my Norton a "Not In." Silly girl.

One of my most memorable rides was on a '79 Low Rider from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to San Francisco in two days. We were able to leave our bikes at Dudley Perkins HD while we toured the town. Two days to return. I wouldn't consider a windshield back then, a sleeping bag on top of the headlight was my wind protection
