New Owner of an LT

Morning!

Picked up a new '16 Versys 650 LT last weekend. No clue how y'all stay in the break-in zone. Fantastic bike for commuting and easy to ride.

Now my Street Triple R can stay clean and come out for the fun stuff.

Welcome to the forums. I also have a '16 LT that I use primarily for commuting. And yeah, I didn't follow the break-in to a T, because if I did, I would have been run over on the highway going to work. But I also didn't run the balls off of it. And yeah, to me its the perfect commuter as with the bags, I have plenty of space to keep my crap, and the bike is light and nimble and easy to ride in stop n go traffic.

I don't care what you ride, just ride.

aboard!

Here's what I did on all THREE of my V 650s (as well as a LOT of others here!), on the ride home from the dealers, then changed oil/filter:

Sounds like my ride back from the dealer. Lot's of accelerating with engine braking. Changed the oil and it's running like a top!

Congrats on the new bike man! If you want to keep it pristine, watch your legs when you get off and on. The only damage to mine are from kicking the damn things haha!

Also welcome to forum.

Wow, A Versys & a Street Triple? I joked to my friends the only thing I didn't like about the Versys was it's a little tall, a little underpowered and a little overweight (for a 650 twin anyway), in other words, it's not a Street Triple!

It's definitely a different riding experience, that's for sure. The Versys has power, but the delivery method is far different than the Triple.
